E.W.S.I. Driver Training Team, a Hertfordshire-based company, has been leading the way on delivering a new project with The Energy Saving Trust.

The project aims to raise standards for Learner Drivers at Beginner, Intermediate and Advance Level of driving by introducing them to Advance Training on Dual Carriageways and Motorway Driving, an education programme designed by The Energy Saving Trust. Our students will therefore be better equipped before entering the workplace and can easily adopt the ECO Driving Techniques, now used widely throughout the country.

Furthermore, our project aims to engage with around 100 Hertfordshire small-to-medium enterprises (SME) along with larger companies and organisations, and train 20,000 company staff & drivers in 2020 / 2022.

We can re-educate drivers who may have not had any continual professional development in driver training in previous years, to be better manage at driving their vehicles, in return they will see the benefits not only in real term but in their overall performance of driving on the road.

Project Manager Michael Hollingbery says,

“This is a great opportunity for all businesses to get involved to work smarter and more efficiently as well as helping us to reduce the dangers on our roads and reduce transport cost, and saving the environment. Our training package is approved by The Energy Saving Trust and looks at driving techniques that will not only noticeably reduce fuel consumption, but will achieve this without increasing overall journey time."

Training is available to drivers of Category B vehicles, which but must be conducted in a car or van. Terms & Conditions apply.
